It was April 18, 2009, the bride & groom are Rachel & Jesus. Rachel got ready at the Publick House, but they didn't get married at the Publick House, it was at a church in the area.

Such a Great Letter!

I just wanted to share this wonderful comment we received about a wedding here at the Publick House!

Hi Cathy,

After last weekend, I wanted to give you a quick recap of our activities for my sons' wedding:

The Rooms (for all events):
- Beautifully done, whether it was "The Library", or the larger banquet hall. Everything was clean, lights all worked, no problems.
- The banquet hall was particularly lovely with the recently refinished floor as well. Sometimes a facility with a colonial theme tends to be a bit dark, but yours provided the best of both.

The Food:
- Although I had very little to do with the food at the wedding itself (discussed it a bit with Chris and Alene beforehand), everyone seemed to really enjoy it all....and I visited with at least 40 of the guests at one time or another. Portions/quality/presentation all were done very nicely.
- The food at the rehearsal was more than well received. The quality was wonderful, and they kept refilling each serving station without ANY prompting. The selection had something for everyone and I had quite a number of attendees remark (unsolicited) as to how great it all was!
- The wines that YOU recommended were terrific! I tried both (just for quality-control purposes, of course!), and they were both fine. I was particularly taken with the Pinot, which was way beyond my level of expectation (for my taste, they tend to be either too bland or the opposite...a bit harsh). This selection was really great and I thank you for your help with this.

The Crew:
- Whether it was "Kelly"; "Peg"; or "Joe Reyes" (if I remember each name), they were ALL outstanding! Each one was extremely professional and were able to do their jobs....but did them as unobtrusively as possible. There were several other folks who were also wonderful, but I was unable to catch their names. Please feel free to offer my personal appreciation to each of them as they all contributed mightily to just a wonderful experience for all attendees.

"The Boss":
- Couldn't finish this without providing kudos to you for all the help and guidance that you provided to the bride and groom (to say nothing of the father of the groom!). Mary and I have 6 "children", and have gone through five weddings, and I can say that this was the least traumatic and best organized of them all. Your guidance and input went a long way in making that a reality, and I sincerely appreciate all you did for each of us!
- Finally, it was great to meet you "in the flesh"! You may remember that I mentioned that you didn't look like I thought you did. What I was alluding to is that I thought you were an older person based on your telephone presence and overall professionalism. Your actual appearance was frosting on the cake, with your personailty being the cherry on top!
